The Hsiung Lab (pronounced sh-OWN) is a biomedical research group interested in understanding and engineering emergent properties of genetic elements.

Our research topics include synthetic biology, gene regulation, combinatorial genetics, and tissue biology.

We are developing new therapeutic strategies for common diseases, including cancer and diseases arising from chronic tissue damage.
